31k+ Hours

In my early aviation days, I flew in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah

I earned all of my advanced Pilot and CFI Certificates with Sawyer Aviation in Phoenix.

And I was employed by Sawyer Aviation for a few years.  First as a CFI and later as a Charter Pilot where I flew everything from a Cessna 150 to Cessna 421.

In addition to Sawyer, I was Chief Pilot for Air Taxi Operators on Colorado and Texas.

Later, in my flying career, I flew for Piedmont Airlines (formerly, Henson Airlines) where I flew both the Shorts Brothers SD3-30s and DeHavilland Dash-8s.  I was a Ground Instructor on the SD3-30 as well as a Flight Instructor on both models.  Later, I was a Line-Check Airman on the Dash-8 where I taught New-Hires the finer points of flying the Dash-8.

I am very involved with the Experimental Aircraft Association, the EAA Young Eagle Program and I volunteer at EAA AirVenture(Oshkosh) each summer.

Received FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award in 2023
